<Sex Education>

1. Does your school teach sex education classes? If so, which students learn the classes--all of the students
in your school, or just some of the students?
2. If you have a sex education program in your school, tell about the class. (How often do you have the class? Is it an interesting class, or is it boring? Is the teacher good? Do most students like the class?)
3. When is the best time to start teaching sex education elementary school, middle school, or high school? Why do you think so?
4. Did your parents ever teach you about sex? Did you ever ask them a question about sex? If so, how did they answer?
5. What do you think about having sex education classes in schools? Tell why you think so.
a. It's a good idea because teenagers need to learn about sex in school.
b. It isn't necessary because teenagers can learn about sex in other ways.
6. If you chose the first answer, what are the main reasons why you think it's needed in schools?
a. to prevent unwanted pregnancies
b. to prevent the spread of AIDS
c. to prevent teenagers from having sex

7. If you chose the second answer, how can students learn about sex without having sex education classes?

<College>

1. Are you planning to go to college?  If so, what kind of college or university do you want to attend? Why?
2. If you are planning to go to college, what do you want to major in? Also, who chose your major--you or your parents?
3. How important is a parent's opinion in choosing a student's major in college--very important, a little important, or not very important? Why do you think so?
4. Do you think that every high school student should go to college, or should some students not go to college? Why do you think so?
5. If you could not pass  the college entrance exam the first time, what would you do? Tell the reason why.

6. Many college students in the U.S. get part-time jobs to earn money to help pay for their university expenses. Do you think that Korean students should do that too? Why or why not?

<Friends>

1. Do you have one person who is your '"best friend"? If so, when did you meet?  

How did you become best friends?
2. Do you think it is important for a person to have a best friend? Why or why not?
3. How many close friends do you have? Explain how you become friends.
4. Do you and your best friend sometimes tell secrets to each other? 

If so, what kind of secrets do you tell each other?
5. Do you and your best friend sometimes argue with each other?

If so, what kinds of things do you argue about?
6. Some people say that you can judge a person by his or her friends. 

Do you think that's true? Tell why you think so.
7. When do you think that people form their strongest friend- ships in life-in elementary school, in middle school, in high school, in college? Why do you think so?
8. Is it possible for two brothers or two sisters to be "best friends' ; or do best friends always have to be people who are not in the same family? Why do you think so?
9. What would you do if your friend wanted to do something that you didn't want to do? Explain.

<Choosing a Career>

1. Have you decided what kind of job or career you want in the future? If so, when did you decide and why?
2. How important was each of the following when deciding your college major?
a. Money. Is the amount of money that you can earn in that kind of job very important? Why or why not?
b. Your parents. How much did your parents influence your decision?
c. Your teachers. Did a teacher help you decide what subject to study in college?
d. Difficulty. Does it matter whether it's hard to study or easy?
3. Is the career you chose similar to the career of one of your parents? 

Would you like to do the same job as your parent? Why or why not? 
4. Which career fields do you think will be most important in Korea in the 21st century?

Why do you think so? Consider each of the following fields:
